Track one-way radios mandatory
(you will not run without one. Frequency is 154.515vhf)
1. Stock original unibody with full floor and firewalls. Stock type rear
spoilers allowed, must be for the car it is installed on. Must be stock
appearing body. May run aftermarket bodies. May tie unibodies together. May
fabricate frame front and rear using 2X3” tubing from strut tower in front
forward and centerline of rear axle to the rear.
2. Any 4 cylinder sedan, subcompact or compact two door cars and small pick-ups. No convertibles, no two seat sport cars and no four wheel drive cars.
3. All glass must be removed and a screen placed in the windshield area.
4. Must have front loop.
5. Must have a complete 6 point roll cage, installed in a safe professional manner. 1 ¼” .090 wall steel tubing minimum with three door bars on drivers side and two door bars on passenger side. All roll cage in drivers area must be padded. Front loop to protect drivers legs and feet. No sharp pointed objects in drivers area.
6. Must use racing seat with padded head rest that is securely fastened. Must have 5 point racing seat belt harness 5 years old or newer securely fastened with bolts. Neck brace recommended.
7. Racing fuel cell
is mandatory. Fuel cell must be mounted in a safe and professional manner.
Must have a protection loop behind fuel cell and must be
protected front, bottom, and both sides with minimum 18 gauge steel minimum 12”
from ground.
a. Must have firewall between drivers compartment and the trunk area.
b. Fuel shutoff must be in reach of right hand side of driver and the
master switch on left hand side of steering column face of dash.
8. Wheels
a. Steel racing wheels allowed on right side.
b. 7” wheel width maximum.
9. Tires
a. Stock DOT passenger car casing only. Sizes 195/65, 195/70, 205/70, or
205/75 only. Maximum width of 7”. (If you find a tire with those sizes that
measures more than 7” do not buy them) A minimum durometer reading of 50.
b. No Winter tread or studded tires.
c. No grooving or siping of tires. Do not alter factory tread design
NOTE: All tread designs must meet with approval of tech staff prior to racing.
10. Must have stock
suspension.
a. All front control arms & rear trailing arm pivot points must be in stock
position.
b. All cross members must be in stock position, no slotting or
repositioning of cross members to alter the wheel base or change angle of
control arms and trailing arms.
11. Engine must
remain stock as manufactured. No headers or racing parts. Flat top or dish
pistons only. No rotary or fuel injected motors. .060 cleanup on cylinder
bores allowed.
a. Pistons may not come above deck of block (exception:
Toyota laser block) pistons do
come above deck in stock form
b. Stock stroke crank shafts only.
c. No high performance ignition boxes allowed.
Cylinder Head Tech:
a. Hydraulic lifter cams only. After market cams allowed. No roller cams.
Only Stock OEM cam followers or rocker arms on push rod motors. Lifter must
rotate freely in bore.
b. 165lb compression limit to be measured with track guage.
Carburetors:
a. One carburetor two barrel only, may use Holley #4412
Drive Line:
a. Fly Wheel- Stock steel, no aluminum etc. No machining, except for clean
up on clutch mating surface.
b. Clutch must
be OEM type only, no light weight parts. This means clutch disc and pressure
plate.
c. Transmission must have all working gears.
d. Drive shaft-steel only.
e. Rear differential must be locked, no spools or aluminum parts.
12. Bumpers must run a stock type facia/or bumper on front. All bumpers must be mounted solid. All bumpers ends must be rounded, NO SHARP EDGES! One external hoop allowed on front and rear no wider than frame rails, above and behind face of bumper. Must have tow hook for wrecker (ex. chain or steel loop.) MUST BE ABLE TO SUPPORT WEIGHT OF CAR! Valance bars for fuel tank and radiator only not more than 1 ½” maximum size.
13. One nerf bar allowed but must be tight to door with no sharp edges at ends.
14. Any weight inside drivers compartments must have a 2x2x1/4” minimum plate on the back side of weight.
15. Any battery inside drivers compartment must be in a marine type container.
16. Must run muffler, any type. Mounted securely!
17. Manifolds: Must
run Stock Cast Iron exhaust manifold. No Headers Stock or aftermarket. Intake
must be OEM as cast, no modifications, carb type manifolds only (no fuel
injection manifolds allowed).
18. 2400lb minimum
weight with driver after race without adding fuel.
Weighed with track scales. Our reading is final.
The top five finishers may be torn down at the promoters discretion, by the track for point races. The car owner should carry a spare gasket set. Anyone found illegal, will lose points and money for that night. If found illegal twice in one year the second offense will be loss of points for the year.
